General Questions

Which payments methods do you accept?

For web design we are able to accept Google Checkout, bank transfer, Paypal and personal cheque.

Google Checkout is the preferred method as it allows fast, secure processing of card payments.

For web hosting we accept only Paypal. You can also pay through Google Checkout but you must pay annually (for this you get 2 months free hosting).

Why have I not received a reply to my message yet?

We aim to reply to all messages within 24 hours, during busier periods this may take up to 48 hours. We do respond to all messages. Please wait 5 days before resubmitting your message

What is a domain name?

A domain name is the web address of your website e.g. our domain name is http://cubewebsites.com

Do you offer domain name registration?

Yes! As of November 2009 we are able to provide domain name registration, and you can also get a free domain with some of our hosting packages.

How do I get my site to show up on search engines?

Search engine submission is done by making proper use of keywords and page titles. Guides on how to do this successfully can be found easily on the Internet. Click here to get started

How will you keep in touch with me whilst designing my website?

We allocate one member of our team to be our representative during the design process for each customer. They will keep in touch with you constantly via e-mail and will respond within 24 hours

What types of site can you design?

We are able to create many different website types, including:

  • Business/Company websites
  • Online stores (e-commerce websites)

Will my site work on all browsers?

When designing we test all our websites on the following browsers: Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Opera. This usually means that the sites will also work on other not-so-common browsers. If you find out that your site is not showing up properly on a certain browser then please contact us and we will rectify it for you

Can I receive my emails in Microsoft Outlook or in Mozilla Thunderbird

Yes, this is very easy to set up, you can follow the simple instructions in the Email Accounts section of your CPanel to acheive this.

Will you keep a backup of my website?

We keep the final version of each website once it is completed. These are stored on local computers, and can be restored if required. We recommend that you also download a backup of your website yourself from your CPanel.

For database driven websites, we also recommend that you constantly backup your database. Depending on your web application, it may be possible to setup your site to do this automatically.

Is it possible to change my site design once it is completed?

Once the final website is uploaded to the Internet, we are under no obligation to make alterations for you. However, we provide annual maintenance packages for all our website designs at additional cost; the cost varies according to the website itself. If you do not purchase a maintenance package then we can perform specific alterations for you at a variable cost.

Web Hosting Questions

Can I cancel my account?

Yes, you can cancel your account at any time, simply use our contact form to request an account cancellation. Your account will only be charged for any remaining payments, after which you will no longer be billed. We do not refund any payments made to us outside of our 14 day money-back guarantee period.

Can I pay upfront for a full year?

Yes, instead of paying us monthly you can pay annually. Simply choose the annual option when purchasing your hosting plan and the discount will be applied automatically.

Can I change the package I am subscribed to?

Yes, you can do this by requesting a package change, your package will be changed within 24 hours, after which you will be be billed the new amount

Can I request changes to my package?

Yes, if you require extra features on a lower tier package, such as parked domains, then you can add them to your existing package at a small extra cost.

How do I log in to my Control Panel(CPanel)?

You can visit your CPanel by opening your web browser and visiting your website name followed by /CPanel. For example if your domain name is http://abc.com then to access CPanel you would go to http://abc.com/cpanel. You will be prompted to enter your account details and then will be logged in to your CPanel.

How do I upload files to my website?

You can upload files using the web based file manager in your CPanel, or you can use an FTP application.

How do I setup my hosting?

Once you have paid for your hosting package we will email you your account details. The next step is to visit your domain name registration site, login to your account, and change the name servers/DNS to our nameservers(provided in your account details email). If you are unsure on how to do this then contact your domain registrar and they should be able to assist you with this, or you can provide us with your login details and we can attempt to do this for you. Once this is done, you must wait for your domain to update, this varies according to the registrar. When the update is complete you should be able to visit your domain name and see our temporary index page. Remove this page using the file manager or FTP browser and then you are ready to upload files to your hosting account.
